Nevada Geothermal Power Inc. (NGP) recently acquired the East Brawley and South Brawley geothermal projects located in the Imperial Valley, California - one of the world's premier geothermal areas.

East Brawley

The advanced stage East Brawley property covers 10.5 square miles (6752 acres) including key leases in the central part of the thermal anomoly immediately south of the current drilling by Ram Power at the Orita project. Commerical productivity has been demonstrated in several deep wells.

In 2011, NGP will commence work for well permits and complete geothermal reservoir and power plant scoping studies.

South Brawley

NGP acquired a 50% leasehold on three square miles (1920 acres) in the South Brawley geothermal area. NGP will determine if a secure land position can be established. No physical work is planned in the immediate future.

East and South Brawley Highlights
