Nevada Geothermal Power Inc. is a dynamic, entrepreneurial and well funded company developing the Blue Mountain Geothermal Field in northern Nevada and actively exploring several other geothermal projects to meet the increasing demand for renewable cost effective energy. We are currently expanding our technical and administrative staff in Reno and Winnemucca, Nevada and have immediate requirements for:
Project Engineer
In this role you will have a BS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. The position requires 5+ years' experience with the design, construction and operation of geothermal power plants. The successful candidate co-ordinates all aspects of the design and construction of a new power plant, electric transmission line and the associated fluid gathering system.
Geothermal Exploration Manager
In this role you will work closely with senior management in pursuing the exploration and development goals of the Company. The position requires a Master of Science degree in geology or geophysics, a minimum of 10 years geothermal exploration experience in positions of increasing levels of responsibility, strong knowledge of interdisciplinary exploration methods, geothermal geology, reservoir hydrology, and drilling technology. Communication and leadership skills are essential.
Geothermal Project Geologist - Two positions
A Bachelor of Science degree in geology and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in field project management, geology, geochemistry, geophysics and drilling along with strong interpersonal, computer, written and oral communication skills are required for consideration.
Drilling Operations Manager
The position requires a minimum of 5 years relevant experience in the management of production and gradient well drilling programs as well as an in-depth knowledge of current drilling technology, operating methods and costs.
